Opening Loving Hands Adult Day Care for the Elderly (Business)
Time: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Location: 614 E. Poplar St.

Loving Hands Adult Day Care, Inc. will open it doors on June 7th for working families that have elderly loved ones that have physical and/or mental impairments and cannot be left alone. Also available for the round-the-clock caregiver who needs respite. We will open 5-days per week. Family member can be dropped off to us and picked up at the end of the work day thus keeping the family structure together. We are a less expensive alternative to nursing home or private care. Bridges Outreach: Project 30 Mentor Training (Education)
Time: 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Location: Kokomo Center Schools Administration Building

All interested in making a difference in the life of a child in Kokomo are encouraged to become a mentor. It only requires 30 minutes of your week during the school year. All mentors are required to go through a one-hour training. Training times are 7:30 am, 12 pm, or 5:30 pm.

10th Anniversary (Church)

Location: Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

Shepherd's Lambs Early Childhood Minsitry is being recognized at the 10:15 worship service for 10 years of service to children of the Kokomo area. There will be a pot luck dinner following and all alumni of Shepherd's Lambs Preschool and daycare are invited to attend.

This event will provide information regarding licensing requirements for potential new foster parents. Additionally, discussion will include basic information about the foster care system and the schedule for the next foster parent training class will be provided.
