Find employment in Kokomo

Kokomo may be the destination The Beach Boys sang about, but turns out the City of Firsts has a new claim to fame: It’s one of the best cities in the state to find employment. According to recent research that analyzed 35 Indiana cities with populations greater than 25,000, Kokomo scored sixth. The financial literacy website, nerdwallet.com, was behind the research. Factors considered were: population growth and recent unemployment rates.

Flu restrictions may be implemented

After 11 Indiana deaths due to the flu, St. Joseph Hospital and Community Howard Regional Hospital will meet Tuesday to discuss implementing visitor restrictions. Indiana University Health Tipton Hospital has already implemented visitor restrictions.
