The three were arrested and face multiple charges. Deputies also discovered marijuana and a handgun with obliterated serial numbers. Indiana currently ranks number one for meth busts in the nation – 1,726 labs were busted in 2012.
Raising money for MDA
The 2014 MDA Howard County Lockup brought in big bucks for the kiddos of MDA Tuesday at Outback Steakhouse. Howard County Sheriff’s Department sent its deputies out into the community to apprehend jailbirds for “having a big heart,” according to the pint-sized judges who ruled jailbirds as guilty before locking them up. The fun helped families send their children, who suffer from MDA, to camp for the summer ($800 per child). The fundraiser brought in a total $16,065. A big congratulations to Jonathan Eller, who raised the most with $2,429.
