Local business goes big time on National Geographic

High Performance Alloys in Tipton and Windfall is getting the primetime treatment. The alloy company snagged a chance to see just how well its alloys sustain a little competition on the National Geographic show, “Showdown of the Unbeatables”. The company will put pressure on its products’ durability to determine just how tough those awesome alloys really are. The episode airs at 10 p.m. tonight and stacks High Performance Alloys against a massive drilling machine.

National Comic Book Day

Spiderman and Superman are celebrated from the pages they originated on National Comic Book Day Saturday. Kokomo Howard County Public Library is helping the charisma of your favorite super heroes jump off the pages you love reading at the main branch downtown from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Faith Brautigam, Kokomo Howard County Public Library director, said National Comic Book Day will also encompass all things “Star Wars”.

“We will have a Star Wars day as well, where people – no matter the age – can dress up in their favorite Star Wars costumes and pose for a picture with our special guests,” Brautigm said on the morning show with Justin and Lindsay.
