Indy 500 pole sitter’s lid is painted in Kokomo
Ed Carpenter will have a piece of Kokomo on the pole for Indianapolis 500’s race day. The two-time pole sitter will sport a Fuzzy’s Vodka helmet hand painted by Brad Plantenga of Bullseye Visuals – located right here in Kokomo. The local business has been painting helmets since 1994 and keeping the fastest heads in racing safe and stylish.

Kokomo Speedway was full of racing for Autograph Night Sunday. Dave Darland crossed the dirt-track’s finish line first over Bryan Clauson, Jerry Coons Jr., Kevin Thomas Jr. and Justin Grant, who rounded out the top five of the night.

We Care Relay for Life Team is revving up their heart rates for a good cause and now it’s your turn to help. The team is holding a fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings in Kokomo Town Center May 21. Billboard Music Awards: The highlights and winners
Billboard Music Awards rocked last night with every genre on stage celebrating a year of chart-topping hits. Although Justin Timberlake cleaned up the awards show, our country crooners raked in some awards of their own. Luke Bryan claimed Top Country Artist and Top Country Album for “Crash My Party”. Florida Georgia Line won the award for Top Country Song: “Cruise”.
The Billboard Music Awards stage also welcomed the powerhouse duet of “Somethin’ Bad”; the latest duet with Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert. The gals even tweeted about last night’s events.
