Cure for Kyle

Family and friends are trying to get a cure for Kyle. Kyle Onyett, a Western HS Grad, is battling his second round of Ewing’s Sarcoma Cancer. Onyett has fought against high stakes to survive his first round of cancer; and is now fighting insurance companies to pay for his treatment. Help a Kokomo native survive a disease that’s touched all of us Saturday, July 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. for a Silent Auction and Spaghetti Dinner at First Church of the Nazarene, 2734 S. Washington St. Admission is $5 a person. The silent auction will host $8,000 worth of items.

 

Indiana Sprint Week gets into gear

Indiana Sprint Week revs up for racing tonight at Gas City’s I-69 Speedway tonight. The 27th annual USAC National Sprint Car features race through a week of tracks and makes a stop at Kokomo Speedway Saturday night. Hot laps start at Kokomo Speedway at 6 p.m.; admission is $25.

 

Gone Country

Tri-Country Tractor Country Showdown named a new winner Thursday night. Jeromie Wright won by one point – second place went to Morris Wayne Cox – after performing two original songs with his acoustic guitar in tote. The Tri-County Tractor Country Showdown takes the stage one last time before the final tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Pioneer Village. The finals of Tri-County take the stage Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. Don’t miss the finalists competing for a spot in the state finals at Tipton Pork Festival.v
