Indiana State Fair to open Aug. 1
Indiana State Fair is just days away from its colossal start on Aug. 1. For many, it will be their first glimpses of the newly remodeled Coliseum; and Indiana State Fair is making sure visitors know the history and the moments that happened inside its halls. The 75-year history that saw The Beattles, renovations, animal exhibits and more are all chronicled in a 92-page digital flipbook on the Indiana State Fair website. New apartment complex to open in Kokomo
Indiana University Kokomo is getting ready for back-to-school and this year some students will have new digs. The Annex — an apartment home facility across from IUK campus –will open Aug. 1 with 2 and 4 bedroom apartment homes.
Kokomo student debuts at Junior Olympics
Central Middle School’s Tionna Brown raked in wins at the USA Track and Field Junior Olympics during the weekend. Brown, a seventh grader, won the 200-meter dash and the 100-meter dash in Humble, Texas for her debut meet.
Free school supplies
SUPPLIES is offering free back-to-school supplies for families in need. The new location for the supply store is at The Crossing, 1234 N. Courtland Avenue. The supply store is open today through July 30 from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m.
