'Dangerous dog' owners could pay
A potential dog ordinance may require owners of “dangerous dogs” to carry insurance in case their pet causes damage to property or injures a person. The proposal for the ordinance was introduced at the Kokomo Common Council Monday night and will be fully presented Aug. 25.
A smoke-free city
The City of Kokomo may be going smoke free. A draft of an ordinance that requires no smoking within city limits, which includes bars and fraternal organizations. The city currently has a ban on smoking but it exempts tobacco sellers, bars and fraternal organizations. The proposed ordinance could eliminate that exemption and eliminate the use of E cigarettes in enclosed public spaces.
