Mural defaced downtown

Art meets destruction on Phillips Street, as the hands responsible for graffiti defaced the late local artist, Sara Smith’s, murals – the graffiti was first reported Monday. The news came as a disappointment to Kokomo Art Association, which has been a major player in downtown Kokomo beautification. The local organization is now asking for community help to restore the mural Saturday and Sunday.

 

Dog ordinance amended

Kokomo Common Council passed amendments to its dog ordinance Monday night. The dog ordinance enforces rules for potentially dangerous dogs to remain inside an enclosure; unless on a leash with a muzzle. Potentially dangerous dogs are defined as any dog that exhibits defensive behavior without being provoked. The dog ordinance doesn’t require dog owners to carry a $50,000 insurance policy; like originally proposed as an ordinance amendment.

 

Drop the buzz-words; your boss isn't impressed
