The contempt case continues

Mayor Greg Goodnight’s emergency motion to transfer his appeal of a direct contempt charge by Judge Menges; has been denied by Indiana Supreme Court. Goodnight requested the Supreme Court take jurisdiction over his appeal, and that Menges’ contempt charge has halted the progress of the city’s Industrial Heritage Trail.

Honoring servicemen and women

Law Enforcement and Firefighters will be honored tonight at Knights of Columbus in Kokomo.  The ceremony gets started at 5 p.m. at the 1631 Foxfire Lane location. The appreciation night for law enforcement and firefighters is a night to celebrate those who serve. The evening wraps up at 8 p.m. For more information, call 765-450-8906.

Give blood to give back

If you want to give back today to honor those who died on 9/11, a community blood drive at 517 N. Buckeye St. is an incredible way to start. The blood drive is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
