Teen walks into traffic

A 18-year-old Kokomo girl walked into traffic at State Road 931 Friday afternoon. Kokomo Police Department reported to Gano Road and State Road 931 on a call regarding a person hit by a car. When police arrived on the scene they discovered the teen intentionally walked into southbound traffic when she was hit by a Chevy avalanche. The girl was transported to St. Joseph Hospital and later airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital. She's currently in serious condition.

Middle school student threatens fellow students

A middle school student allegedly made threats of retaliation to fellow students in Miami County last week. The student and parents were interviewed at the Miami County Sheriff's Department, before the accused student was later suspended from school. Miami County schoool officials implemented precautionary safety guidelines; and the school conducted a temporary lockdown Friday morning. Two Indiana State Police troopers and two Miami County Sheriff's Deputies patrolled the school Friday afternoon
