Three things to worry about

Worrying might not get you anywhere. However, here are three not-so-happy thoughts we collected that could explain a few things in your life — or save your life. You're welcome for adding that boost of worry in your life.

1. Your wife is right: Your memory really has gotten worse. A new study out of Minnesota found that memory loss is just a natural part of aging and men's go faster than women's.

On the bright side, it doesn't necessarily mean you're developing dementia or Alzheimer's. On the downside, from age 30 on, your memory isn't going to be as sharp as it used to be especially if you're a guy.

2.  Watching cooking shows is cool but actually eating the food you see on them could kill you. A study found women who cook the recipes they saw on cooking shows are an average of 11 pounds heavier than women who watch but don't try the recipes.

3.  Shocking news: Energy drinks might be bad for you. Researchers at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota found that if you're not a big caffeine drinker and you have an energy drink, it can raise your blood pressure to potentially unsafe levels.

Now, it won't necessarily happen to you. If you have a family history of blood pressure issues or strokes, energy drinks could seriously increase your risk.
