Pizzeria refuses to serve homosexuals
A pizzeria owner in Walkerton Indiana announced she won't cater weddings for homosexuals since she's protected under the religious freedom restoration act. Crystal O'Connor owns Memories Pizza near South Bend, Ind. O'Connor said she supports RFRA and she will utilize the law in refusing to cater homosexual weddings.
Woman sentenced to 18 years prison
A 22-year-old has been sentenced to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to a hit and run that killed another driver. Char'Dae Avery confessed she and friends were smoking pot Feb. 15 of 2014 before she sped down the road and collided with Matthew Fouch's car on Park Road. The collision killed Fouch, a husband and father of three. Fouch's widow expressed her family's devastation in Howard County Circuit Court — as part of Wednesday's testimony.
Steve Kroft Home to be historical landmark
"60 Minutes" journalist Steve Kroft once called Kokomo home. Now, his former residence will be recognized as a local historic landmark. Kokomo Common Council voted unanimously to approve the historical designation of Kroft's former home at 1220 W. Maple St. Kroft lived in the home from 1948 to 1954.
