Tipton apartment manager arrested
A Tipton apartment manager is in jail, after police say she allegedly stole from her residents at Hartwick Apartments. Karen Nead is accused of stealing approximately $10,000 from residents during the last several weeks. Police said Nead instructed residents to make out money orders in her name for rent. Instead of applying the orders to the residents' rental accounts — she cashed them for herself. Nead faces 23 counts of theft.
College students can't stop texting
College students and teens can't stop texting. A new study reveals most college-aged men and women send more than 100 text messages a day. The study further shows where kids are texting — and nowhere is off-limits. College-aged students have admitted to texting during a funeral, religious services and on a date.
Police get in on prom proposal
A traffic stop for an Indiana teenager was her ticket to a prom date. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department helped out a high school teen with his prom proposal. The officers ordered the girl to place her arms behind her head. To her surprise, when she turned around her boyfriend was holding a sign asking her to prom. She said yes.
