So, a lot of craft beer tastes like crap. All those brews that are infused with anything from sriracha to coffee are toeing the line of what we're willing to put up with just to drink a cold one.
We're talking to you, Oregon. This state is turning its sewage water into beer. That's right, they're turning crap into craft beer. The water utility company thought it'd be a good idea and the state's Environmental Quality Commission said: "Sure, go ahead. We always wanted a poop brewed into a bottle." Actually, they didn't really say that, they just gave the utility company formal permission.
Once the utility company makes a batch of brews made from feces, the EQA will test it to make sure it's safe to drink. If it passes the test, then you and your pals can toast with sippable waste anytime you want.
Cheers.
