It’s hard to believe we haven’t heard of this happening before. It almost seems inevitable in this day and age.

A 21-year-old woman in Moscow, Russia accidentally shot herself in the head while she was taking a selfie.

She was at work on Thursday, and a security guard accidentally left his nine-millimeter handgun behind when he left to go on vacation.

So she held it up to her head with one hand, and took the selfie with the other. Except that when she snapped the picture, she also pulled the trigger.

Maybe it’s like patting your head and rubbing your stomach at the same time . . . only dumber.

The bullet hit her in the temple, but somehow she survived. She’s in the hospital in serious condition.

And the security guard could be facing up to six months in jail for negligent storage of weapons.
