If you make bank, your spouse could be more likely to cheat

Our grandpas never would’ve gone for this, but the idea of sitting at home playing video games all day while our wives work sounds kinda sweet, right? So how come the lucky dudes who have that deal are blowing it?

A new study out of the University of Connecticut found that men who don’t work and have wives that make all the family’s money are the most likely people to CHEAT, by far. Here are the numbers:

15 percent of men who make none of the money for their family cheat.

5 percent of women who make none of the money cheat.

4 percent of men who make ALL of the money cheat.

3 percent of men and women who both contribute financially cheat.

And 1.5 percent of women who make all of the money cheat.

So why are men who make no money so much more likely than anyone else to have an affair? The researchers think it’s because men are ingrained with old gender roles.

When they don’t contribute financially to support their family, they feel less masculine. So they reassert their masculinity by cheating.
