Family is selling home for a bizarre reason

I don’t think this news coverage is going to be good for this family’s real estate prospects.

The Shafer family in Kalamazoo, Michigan owns a home that’s right at the corner of two busy streets — and drivers keep crashing into it. It’s been hit eight times since they moved in back in 2005, and three times in the past year.

They even put giant rocks in front of it to stop people from plowing into it -but clearly, those haven’t worked, because it got hit AGAIN at 3:00 A.M. on Sunday. A guy named Steven Dontrail Stevenson-Smith crashed into the house, and then took off running.

The cops tracked him down and arrested him for fleeing and eluding, resisting and obstructing a police officer, and driving with a suspended license. They also think he may have been drunk. Fortunately, no one in the house was hurt in the crash.

Meanwhile, the Shafers have been trying to sell the place since September without any luck. It’s listed at $120,000 — we’d recommend getting good insurance if you buy it.
