If you’ve texted with anyone in the past year, you’ve probably used emojis. But, were you accidentally killing English in the process?
A new survey asked people if emojis could eventually REPLACE the English language and become the dominant form of communication;and one in six people said yes. That includes about a third of 18 to 24-year-olds.
But the survey was actually done by the makers of a cool new party game called Emoji Cards. It’s sort of like charades, but you get people to guess things by using cards with different emojis on them. You can check it out at GetEmojiCards.com.
The survey also found 9 percent of people would use emojis to dump someone over text. Apparently if the person you’re with sends you a poop emoji followed by a frowny face, that’s what it means.
