An app that enables creepiness

Back in the day, when you broke up with someone but didn’t want to get rid of every trace of them, you put all of the photos and love letters and strands of hair you’d collected in a shoebox, then you buried it deep in your closet.

But today, most of your relationship mementos are digital — so what do you do?

There’s a new app called Shryne that’s here for that exact purpose. You can download all of your digital history with someone into it from texts and email to Facebook and Instagram photos.

Even if you delete all of the stuff from Gmail and your phone and social networks, it’ll still be preserved on Shryne. They call it a: “digital safety deposit box.”

And one day in the future, you can go onto the app and look through your entire relationship history — assuming the company doesn’t go out of business and delete their servers. What will last longer: Your broken heart or some random startup!?!

You can get Shryne for free for the iPhone.
