After 16 years on “The Daily Show”, who knows if Jpn Stewart would be interested in jumping back into politics. But, this would be awesome.

There’s a petition on Change.org asking the Commission on Presidential Debates to let Jon moderate a presidential debate. It has over 136,000 signatures.

The petition cites Jon’s experience interviewing politicians and heads of state; his Peabody Awards for his coverage of the 2000 and 2004 races; and the supposed fact that 52.1 percent of Americans think Jon: “generally shares [their] view of the world.”

The petition is asking that Jon host one of the three debates between the eventual Republican and Democratic candidates. So, he wouldn’t be presiding over a circus like the recent Republican debate on Fox News.
