A bunch of coffee chains are giving out free coffee for National Coffee Day today, but Starbucks is NOT one of them. Instead, they’re launching a yearlong program where they’ll plant a tree for every bag of coffee they sell at their stores.
Which is nice, but doesn’t help you get free coffee. So here are a couple chains that ARE giving away coffee.
You can get a free small coffee and a glazed donut at Krispy Kreme if you mention the promotion — participating Dunkin’ Donuts will give you a free medium or iced coffee if you ask for it.
Whole Foods stores are selling 12-ounce cups of coffee for 25 cents — Staples is running a promotion where you can win a Keurig and a bunch of other stuff if you tweet a photo of your favorite coffee mug with the hashtag OfficeMugShot.
McDonald’s is mostly ignoring National Coffee Day this year. A few locations in Connecticut and Massachusetts are giving out small cups, but it’s not clear if they’re doing it anywhere else.
