You have at least one friend on Facebook who posts inspirational quotes.
A new study out of the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada found that people who post inspirational quotes — or like seeing them on Facebook — are less intelligent.
More specifically, it says they’re, quote, “lower in cognitive ability, numeracy, verbal, and fluid intelligence.”
The study also found people who post or enjoy quotes are more likely to believe in conspiracy theories, paranormal phenomenon.
But if you are one of those people who post inspirational quotes, don’t feel bad. After all, “just because your path is different doesn’t mean you’re lost.” Also, “hang in there, baby.”
