The most popular foods of 2015

What would your grandfather say if he knew one day you’d be eating ramen, kale salads, and empanadas? What happened to meat and potatoes, boy? GrubHub analyzed 35,000 takeout orders and came up with the trendiest foods of 2015.

Here’s the top 10:

1. Tacos al Pastor. That’s tacos with pork seasoned with pineapple, chilies, and spices.

2. Spicy miso ramen. That’s ramen noodles in spicy red sauce.

3. Chicken tikka masala. Roasted chunks of chicken in spicy sauce. It sounds Indian, but people say it was invented by an Indian restaurant in England.

4. Tonkotsu ramen. That’s ramen noodles with pork and sometimes an egg.

5. Deep dish pizza.

6. Patatas bravas. Basically Spain’s version of French fries.

7. Brisket.

8. Ham and cheese empanadas.

9. Kale Caesar salad.
