Some of us actually want to live to 100

According to a new survey, 77% of us want to live to see our 100th birthday. And 30% of us think we WILL. But we must be expecting modern medicine to get us there, because WE’RE not doing much to make it happen.

Only 31% said they’re making a serious effort to live longer . . . whatever that means. 54% claimed they’re making some sort of effort, and 15% admitted they’re not doing anything at all.

And check out what was voted the most important thing you can do to live longer . . . staying close with friends and family. Avoiding cigarettes, drugs, and too much alcohol was second . . . eating healthy was third . . . and getting enough exercise was fourth.

Also, more than 40% of people who want to retire by 65 say they won’t have enough money saved up to support themselves if they live to be a hundred.

The survey also found the average age people expect to live to is 84, which is five years longer than the current life expectancy in the U.S.

And you’re not considered to be an “old” person now until you’re 73.
