Someone in Seattle broke into a car a few weeks back, but there wasn’t much to steal. The only thing they took was a pair of sunglasses. Or at least they thought that was the only thing worth stealing

After the break-in, the couple who own the car started going through it, and found an old Powerball ticket — that turned out to be worth a million bucks.

When they bought the ticket back in February, the jackpot was up to $500 million. At that point, they didn’t win. So they forgot about it.

It turned out no one won, so there was a second-chance drawing, and that’s when their numbers hit.

They didn’t even know about the second drawing until after the break-in happened. The best part is, whoever broke into their car wouldn’t have had to search very hard to find the ticket — the sunglasses they stole were sitting right on top of it.

Police are still looking for them — we assume it’s mostly so they can point and laugh.
