Coming to the Howard County 4-H Fair in Greentown this summer, WWKI presents the 2015 New Holland Agriculture Country Showdown from July 13th – 18th. Our contestants will go head to head competing for the local Howard County title. Our winner will travel onto the state competition, then from there have the chance to advance to the regional and national levels.
The 32nd Annual Country Showdown is America’s largest Country music talent show. It’s designed to find the most promising country music talent in the nation and to give these performers a chance to launch their professional music careers.The Country Showdown begins each spring with over 450 local talent contests sponsored by country music radio stations throughout the US. Winners advance to their respective State competitions held at leading fairs and venues. Acts then compete for a $1,000 prize, the State Title and the opportunity to advance to one of five Regional Finals. It’s the last step before the prestigious, televised National Final. The audience cheers on the Regional Winners, as they compete for the Grand Prize of $100,000 and the title of “Best New Act in Country Music.”
We’ll feature singers starting Monday, July 13th through Friday, July 17th crowning a winner each night. Then those five winners to perform again on Saturday night as part of the final competition. Then our winner from Saturday night will be eligible to perform at the state competition later this summer.
