Here’s a perfect example of how much we hate talking on the phone in 2015.
Researchers at California State University in Sacramento studied how a group of teenagers asked each other out, to see which method was most effective.
They found someone was more likely to get a date if they asked someone out with a Facebook message or an email, rather than a phone call or a voicemail.
The researchers say it shows we’ve gotten much better at conveying emotion with our writing — that used to be the big disadvantage of emails versus the phone.
They say it’s not because of emojis — we’ve just gotten better at picking our words carefully to get our message across.
