Guess where we got your wedding gift?

We get it, going to a wedding is expensive. But, some of you are seriously cheap when it comes to wedding gifts.

According to a new survey, 41 percent of people have given something from their own home as a wedding gift. Check out four other stats they found:

1. Twenty percent have signed their name on another guest’s gift, without contributing to it.

2. One in ten have lied and told a married couple that their wedding gift was on its way, when it wasn’t — because they hadn’t bought it yet.

3. People only want to spend an average of $70 on a gift, but when it comes to their OWN wedding, they think they should get gifts that cost around $80.

4. Seven perent of us would prefer not to give gifts at all, if we had a choice.

Why? Basically, people stress about what to buy, how much to spend, and whether they’ll have to overspend to avoid looking cheap.

And 10 percent of people say they just don’t like wedding registries in the first place, because they don’t like being told what to buy.
