A 25-year-old woman named Aubrey McColm drifted over the center line near Indianapolis last Monday, and almost hit a cop car head-on.
Apparently the cop couldn’t turn around and catch up to her, so he put out an A.P.B. for the car, and they found it parked outside a house nearby.
Then when police talked to Aubrey, they asked if she’d had anything to drink that night. She said no. But her seven-year-old was in the car with her, and decided to help out — by reminding her she had actually had a few drinks.
According to police, Aubrey said she hadn’t been drinking. Then her seven-year-old immediately followed it with, “Yes you HAVE, Mom!”
Police ended up breathalyzing her, and she was almost three times over the legal limit.
It’s not clear if she got a DUI, since she wasn’t driving the car anymore. But she’s facing charges for child neglect.
