Conventional wisdom says you should probably avoid eating garlic if you’re going to be hitting on women.
Well, ignore that, stock up on gum, and go crazy on the garlic. Because even though it’s disastrous for your breath, apparently it’s amazing for your sweat.
A new study out of the University of Stirling in Scotland and Charles University in the Czech Republic found that the more garlic men ate, the more attractive they smelled to women.
Women rated them higher in four categories when they’d eaten at least four cloves of garlic: Pleasantness, attractiveness, masculinity, and intensity.
The researchers say it could be because garlic has so many antibiotic properties. Women have evolved to like the smell of garlic in sweat — since it’s a sign a guy is healthy.
