You may think you’re attracted to tall men or short women. Or, you know, short men and tall women.

But a new study out of the University of Edinburgh in Scotland found that you’re probably going to wind up settling down with someone who’s around the same height as you. It’s not even a choice — it’s in your genes.

The researchers found that 89 percent of the genes that determine who you’re attracted to are the same genes that determine your height, which makes you prefer people who are just about as tall as you.
