Beers and steers
Indiana State Fair will have more than steers this season. Gov. Mike Pence has signed the bill that lifted the 67-year ban on beer at Indiana State Fair into law. The ban was originally put in place in 1947 after fairgoers trashed walkways with beer bottles. Pence said he doesn’t feel history will repeat itself, though: Indiana-produced craft beers and wines will be sold in a confined area and fairgoers interested in sipping grown-up beverages will not be able to take beer and wine outside of the restricted locations.
