FEMA denies aid for Indiana again… this time for winter-weather needs
FEMA has denied financial aid for 49 counties in need of assistance from the treacherous winter storms in January. Amongst those counties that were denied aid are: Howard, Tipton and Miami counties. The funds from FEMA would’ve paid for 75 percent of expenses including: snow removal, search and rescue and damages. Indiana will appeal the decision.
Beck’s Hybrids expands
Beck’s Hybrids is handing out some seed money for Atlanta, Ind. The agricultural company is expanding in the small town and will add 100 new jobs by 2017. The company will also invest $60 million to renovate the company’s headquarters. The expansion will include research labs, greenhouses and seed processing facilities.
