Safety in the city

Mobile home park residents are among the most vulnerable to tornadoes. Kokomo Fire Department will host mobile-home residents with shelter when tornadoes are forecasted. Residents can seek safety in six different fire houses or City Hall.

“If you live in a mobile home, you’ll need alternative shelter,” said Kokomo Fire Chief Pat O’Neill. “All Kokomo Fire Stations will act as temporary shelters for mobile home residents when tornadoes are predicted or a tornado watch has been issued.”
