Meet the rollergirls

The City of Fists Rollergirls are handing out handshakes and, of course, some hard hits Thursday evening at Westside Baptist Church, 3330 County Road W 100 S. The tough gals of Kokomo’s own roller derby team want to meet you. Get out, lace up your skates and see just how much roller derby rocks from 7 to 9 p.m.

Sign marks the spot of progress

Firestone Plaza just hung its mark of quality downtown. The former Firestone building is undergoing major renovations to welcome tenants for coffee shops, retailers, and more right downtown at Mulberry and Union streets. Kipcor is renovating the project and just hung its progress in the form of a retro-styled sign advertising coffee and lunch. Kipcor has been offering regular tours of the rehabbed location as they await tenants to move in.
