Haynes Apperson Festival

Haynes Apperson Festival is gearing up for some fun after the Fourth. The parade gets started at 2 p.m., where you can give a wave to the Hit Country KI crew. Aside from a massive musical lineup, which includes .38 Special and Flyin’ Blynd, Haynes Apperson Festival is also getting active with Kokomo YMCA for a 3 on 3 Tournament and Free Throw contest. If you want to get sporty for Kokomo’s favorite festival, pick up a registration sheet at Kokomo YMCA on Union Street.

Kickin’ up the country stage

Tri County Tractor Country Showdown sweeps the Howard County 4-H Fair stage during July 7 through 12. The winner of the contest will go on to compete at the state level and your favorite country station is hosting the shindig during Tipton Pork Festival. The state finals of the Tri County Tractor Showdown will serenade Tipton square Sept. 5 at 7 p.m.
