Indiana native celebrated on reality show

Hoosiers are sweeping reality TV sets this year: Last night Indianapolis native Valerie Rockey stole “So You Think You Can Dance” with her tap performance that incorporated stairs and difficult choreography. The Franklin Central High School graduate performed to Ed Sheeran’s “Sing”. You can vote for Rockey to make it to the Top 20 until 1 p.m. today.

Haynes Apperson ready to rock

Haynes Apperson Festival gets into gear for downtown’s biggest party. The annual shindig starts tonight with performances from Molly Hatchet and Roger’s Ritual – starting at 7 p.m. Friday night welcomes Here come the Mummies with 26 West and Saturday is host to Haynes Apperson Festival parade, which gets started at 2 p.m. 38 Special and Flyin Blynd take the stage before fireworks blast into the sky to celebrate the weekend at 10 p.m.
