Ivy Tech Chancellor to retire

Chancellor Stephen Daily has served Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region for 20 years; however, after January 2015 Daily will hang his hat on higher education and head for retirement. Daily started his career in education 43 years ago as an English teacher at Haworth High School. The 67-year-old has served the community on several different boards and organizations.

Celebrating Kokomo Strong

Tornadoes have left their mark on Kokomo and, today, City of Kokomo and United Way are unveiling a historical marker on the lot of UAW Local #685. The marker will commemorate the student volunteers who cleaned up what Mother Nature tore down in November 2013. The commemorative ceremony starts at 3:30 today at UAW Local #685 Union Hall, 929 E. Hoffer St.
