Building destroyed, nine months after tornadoes

The former location of Sun City Tan is being demolished. The building at Lincoln and Washington streets was destroyed nine months ago during the November tornadoes that struck Kokomo. Engineers decided the building faced too much damage to be repaired.

Business expansion leads to road closure

A road in Miami County is permanently closing. Miami County Commissioners voted Monday to close 800 feet of the road that intersects Orion Safety Products. The location is 3157 N. 500 W. Orion Safety Products currently employs 45 people and will expand to 72 additional employees.

Indiana State Fair results

The grand champions have been announced at Indiana State Fair. 4-H competitors around the state competed for the grand champion title and some of those in our listening area brought the winning honor back to their home counties. Alex Raute, Hamilton County, won Grand Champion Market Lamb; Elizabeth Michel, Wabash County, won Grand Champion Goat Wether.
