Competitive eating wins over Taste of Kokomo

Taste of Kokomo tested the taste buds of competitive eaters, turns out, the competitive-eating gene grows in the Boyd family tree. Brother and sister Zach and Crissy Boyd brought in the titles, and tighter belts, for Taste of Kokomo’s competitive eaters. Crissy won the “three-peat” for guzzling fiery wings. Zach is now a three-time champion of the pizza-eating contest: A 20-inch pizza pie, covered in meat topping.

Gourmet Burger Throwdown

Taste of Kokomo showcases the best bites in town; although Half Moon Restaurant and Brewery won that honor for the sixth time, John Hilbert brought in the best burger by an amateur. Hilbert mixed up ingredients like pimento cheese, jalapeno sausage, and spicy pickle for the top pick.
