Howard County approves raises

Howard County has approved raises for all county employees. The raises were approved by Howard County Council in the 2015 budget. The salary increase will be the first since 2008 and include a $1,000 increase for full-time employees and a $500 increase for part-time employees. The salaries were made possible by a bump of $486,000 in the budget.

 

Clean audit for city of Kokomo

Kokomo has received a clean audit after a preliminary assessment with “no findings” – meaning auditors have found no discrepancies in the City or Wastewater Utility’s financial records. This is the sixth year City of Kokomo has received a state audit with no findings.

 

Kokomo economy second-fastest increase in Indiana

Kokomo’s economy is on the way up, according to recent data released from Bureau of Economic Analysis. The city of Kokomo has exhibited a 3.3 percent growth in real gross domestic product for 2013 – the second fastest growth in the state of Indiana.
