Housing project proposed for Kokmo

A multi-million dollar housing project is in the works for Kokomo. The NRP Group, LLC is pursuing a $10.2 million housing development for seniors on Morgan Street. The complex’s early plans call for 70 single-story, two-bedroom units. The development will be designed to architecturally blend with a residential neighborhood.

Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight said of the recent development proposal: “This new housing development proposed complements recent private investments in the area like the opening of Kingston Square and Patriot Porcelain.”

The developer has proposed to rezone several acres of undeveloped land on the city’s north side. The Kokomo Plan Commission will soon vote on the proposal.
