Gas-price hike

Gas prices are back up for the holiday weekend. The prices at the pump have been increasing throughout the week — reaching an average of $2.89 a gallon in Kokomo. The national average for what people are paying at the pump is $2.81 a gallon.

'Tis the season for beautiful trees
An abundance of rain and cool temperatures this year are making Christmas trees stand a little jollier this year. Dan Cassens is a wood specialist for Purdue University and he says if you're going to be a real tree, this is the year to do it.

“This year, with the rain and cooler weather, the trees just grew beautifully,” Cassens said. “They were just really doing the best that they absolutely could.”
