"The Tonight Show" says it's not interested in selling out to YouTube. However, all that Fallon funniness could make bank — if it allowed ads on its YouTube channel.
According to openslate.com, "The Tonight Show" is missing out on $7.9 million from skipping the YouTube ad route.
If you're wondering why NBC is leaving that money behind, here's the deal: YouTube takes 45 percent of a channel's ad revenue. NBC isn't into that set up.
Meanwhile, businesswoman Taylor Swift doesn't run ads on her YouTube channel. I think we can all agree she's doing just fine.
