With the upcoming arrival of the Apple/Beats streaming service and changes to the way Billboard tracks streaming songs, the giants of the streaming world could be in for a rough time. Although there are many users of services like Spotify and Pandora, streaming services are having difficulty making much money from those users.
Meet Ava: She's a Tinder bot
Over the weekend, some Tinder users in Austin for SXSW who were seeking to connect with a woman were paired with a female user named Ava. And because advertising knows no bounds, it turned out that Ava was in fact a Tinder bot, which after some stiff conversation, directed her Tinder catches to an Instagram page advertising the film Ex Machina, which was premiering at the festival.
