Traffic delays downtown Kokomo

Expect traffic delays at Apperson Way beginning at 730 this morning. Traffic adjacent to Kokomo Municipal Stadium on Apperson Way will be slow due to crews installing sewer pipes at the baseball stadium. Crews will direct traffic to alternate between Vaile Avenue and the street formerly known as Murden Street. Take Union and Sycamore streets to avoid the area. 

Greentown to flush water pipes

If you're a Greentown resident, city officials suggest getting bottled water while the Greentown Water Department flushes water mains May 4 through May 31. Although the water is safe to drink during this time, some residents may see discoloration.

Westfield High School's stage collapses during production

Dozens of high school students were injured during a stage collapse at Westfield High School Thursday night. 

Police are investigating the stage and its structure to determine the cause. According to police, one person is critically injured, and 24 others have been injured. The school was in its last number of the play "American Pie" when the auditorium's main stage collapsed as dozens of students fell with it.

School will be in session Friday. Counseling will be available for students.
